Programs & Curriculum

• What programs does Vein Masters Institute offer?

  VMI offers five allied health programs: Phlebotomy Technician (4 weeks), Medical Administrative Assistant (6 weeks), EKG Technician (4 weeks), Medical Coding & Billing (8 weeks), and CPR Certification (1 day). Each program is designed for rapid entry into the healthcare workforce.

• How long are the programs?

  Program lengths vary by discipline. Phlebotomy and EKG are 4-week intensives. Medical Administrative Assistant is 6 weeks. Medical Coding & Billing is our longest program at 8 weeks. CPR Certification is completed in a single day. All programs are structured to get you credentialed and job-ready as quickly as possible.

• What session times are available?

  We offer two session tracks to fit your schedule. Morning sessions run Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Evening sessions run Monday through Thursday, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Both tracks cover the same curriculum and lead to the same certification outcomes.

• Do I need prior healthcare experience to enroll?

  No prior healthcare experience is required for most programs. A high school diploma or GED is the standard prerequisite. Some programs — particularly Phlebotomy — involve hands-on clinical skills, so a willingness to work with patients and perform venipuncture is important. We welcome career changers and first-time healthcare students alike.

• What will I be able to do after completing a program?

  Graduates are prepared to sit for national certification exams and enter the workforce immediately. Phlebotomy graduates can work in hospitals, clinics, and labs drawing blood. EKG graduates can perform cardiac monitoring. Medical Admin graduates handle front-office operations. Coding & Billing graduates work in medical records and insurance billing. CPR-certified graduates meet employer requirements for healthcare settings.

Tuition & Payment Options

• How much does each program cost?

  Tuition is straightforward with no hidden fees. Phlebotomy Technician: $900. Medical Administrative Assistant: $500. EKG Technician: $500. Medical Coding & Billing: $600. CPR Certification: $200. Tuition covers all instruction, materials, and access to lab equipment during your program.

• What payment options are available?

  We offer four payment options to make enrollment accessible. You can pay in full upfront, split tuition into two installments, arrange a custom payment plan, or inquire about employer-sponsored tuition assistance. Payment plan details are discussed during the enrollment process. We accept cash, check, money order, and major credit/debit cards.

• Are there any additional fees beyond tuition?

  Tuition covers instruction, materials, and lab access. There may be a separate fee for the national certification exam, which is administered by the certifying body (not VMI). Exam fees vary by credential and are typically in the $75–$150 range. We will provide specific exam fee information during orientation.

• Is financial aid available?

  VMI is a private vocational school and does not currently participate in federal Title IV financial aid programs. However, we work with students to structure payment plans that fit their budgets. Some students use employer tuition reimbursement, workforce development grants, or personal financing. Contact us to discuss your situation.

Certification & Credentials

• Will I receive a nationally recognized certification?

  Yes. VMI programs prepare students to sit for nationally recognized certification exams. Phlebotomy graduates are prepared for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam. EKG graduates are prepared for the NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam. Medical Coding graduates are prepared for the AAPC CPC or AHIMA CCA exams. CPR certification follows American Heart Association (AHA) standards.

• Is the certification exam included in tuition?

  Exam preparation is fully included in your program. The certification exam itself is administered by the national certifying body and has a separate fee paid directly to that organization. VMI will provide you with all registration details and study resources to maximize your exam readiness.

• What is the pass rate for VMI students?

  VMI maintains a strong track record of student certification success. Our instructors are active healthcare professionals who align instruction directly with exam content. We offer exam prep sessions and practice assessments as part of every program. Contact us for current pass rate data.

• How long is the certification valid?

  Most national certifications require renewal every two years through continuing education credits. NHA certifications, for example, require 10 CEUs every two years. CPR/BLS certifications through the AHA are valid for two years. VMI can provide guidance on renewal pathways after you complete your program.

Enrollment & Attendance

• How do I enroll?

  Complete the online application at veinmastersinstitute.com/register. The application takes about 10–15 minutes and covers program selection, personal information, payment preferences, and a release of liability. After submission, our admissions team will contact you within 24–48 hours to confirm your enrollment and start date.

• When do new sessions start?

  New cohorts begin on a rolling basis throughout the year. During the application process you will indicate your preferred start date, and our team will confirm availability. Class sizes are intentionally small to ensure hands-on attention for every student.

• What is the attendance policy?

  Regular attendance is essential in accelerated programs. Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. If you must miss a class, notify your instructor in advance. Excessive absences may affect your ability to complete the program and sit for certification exams. Specific attendance requirements are outlined in the student handbook provided at orientation.

• Is there a dress code?

  Yes. Students are required to wear scrubs during all in-person sessions. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory in lab settings for safety. Clean, professional attire reflects the standards of the healthcare environments you will be entering. Specific color requirements, if any, will be communicated before your first day.

• What is the withdrawal and refund policy?

  Students who withdraw before the program begins are eligible for a full refund minus any administrative fees. Withdrawals after the program starts are subject to a prorated refund schedule based on the percentage of the program completed. The full withdrawal policy is included in the enrollment application and reviewed at orientation.
